Garden Season is among us! Tomatoes are starting t Garden Season is among us! Tomatoes are starting to turn, sweet corn is ready to harvest and we are so excited! For years our family has a had a big garden that we not only enjoy for the summer, but that we preserve for the whole year! It is such a treat to be able to have fresh tasting sweet corn in the middle of December, or delicious marinara for Stromboli.

There’s something magical about working with freshly milled flour. I still remember the first time I ground my own wheat berries – the nutty aroma that filled my kitchen was unlike anything I’d experienced with store-bought flour. I’m excited to share my favorite tried-and-true recipes that showcase the incredible flavor and health benefits of fresh-milled grains.

Milling your own flour is the best way to feed your carb craving while avoiding processed flour and empty nutrients. Fresh milled flour contains all the essential nutrients that are often lost in commercial processing, making it a powerhouse of nutrition.

There are so many ways to use zucchini, for sure. During zucchini season, when our zucchini plants thrive in the garden, I start to feel like I have zucchini coming out my ears! I usually fry some, make some into zoodles to eat with olive oil and marinara, or grill them outside when we’re having hamburgers. But all these things have to be eaten right away. I needed a way to use my zucchini that could be frozen for a later time. This Zucchini bread recipe is the perfect answer because everybody loves it, and I can freeze multiple loaves to enjoy for months ahead, even when the zucchini is done producing. This is a perfect recipe to use in the midst of garden season.
